In a touching story from WWE RAW XXX, Teddy Long shared how fellow SmackDown alum Kurt Angle was the only person to thank him for what he did for his career.

These kind of Teddy stories are always fascinating to me because even simple interactions among those backstage have significance to Long. After all, he’s been in the business since the 1980s as a referee, manager, host, and general manager.
He’s played every onscreen facilitator role in wrestling outside of being a commentator for a significant period. Every role he played was to push the main stars of a storyline along their path.
While chatting with The Wrestling Time Machine, Teddy Long, his fellow hall of famer came up to him after their segment on RAW XXX and thanked him—which means a lot for an old school guy.
Also of note was that no one else approached the former GM:
Long disclosed that the WWE Hall of Famer was the only one to come up to him during the event and share his gratitude for everything.
“Nobody came up and said a word but Kurt, he was old school. When we came back, we always thank each other. ‘Hey man, thank you for the time.’ Nobody said that to me but Kurt Angle. That’s what we have no more.” (credit: Sportskeeda)
