During the pandemic era of WWE, there were a few key acts who made shows like Monday Night RAW worth watching. One such group was built around Bobby Lashley, as he united with MVP, Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander to form The Hurt Business. This faction was broken up in early 2021, never really having a chance to be seen by live crowds – and MVP wants to change that.
MVP Just Needs Bobby Lashley Back On Board To Get The Hurt Business Back
While speaking with Josh Martinez of Superstar Crossover, MVP was asked about the choice of Vince McMahon to split The Hurt Business up – and how he wants to bring the group back.
“Vince McMahon makes decisions and that’s way above my pay grade. The decision that he made. Why did he choose to do it? I have no idea. It was his choice, he’s the boss, well at the time, he was the boss and that’s just how things go. We were all scratching our heads but at the end of the day, I’m doing my best to try to get the team back together. Bobby’s being a little stubborn, but I got Shelton and Cedric back on board with me and I’m trying to get Bobby to come around. We’ll see if we can get The Hurt Business back in business.”
WWE Is Becoming More Faction Focused Under Triple H
Right now, WWE is becoming a more faction heavy product – with groups like The Bloodline, The Judgement Day, Imperium, Legado Del Fantasma and Damage CTRL all being examples. WWE even has a good chance to kick off a new era of The Hurt Business with the upcoming match between Lashley & Lesnar at Elimination Chamber. By having Benjamin, Alexander & MVP help Lashley get the win – the feud can continue into WrestleMania 39.
Anything that gives talented workers like Alexander & Benjamin more TV time would be considered as a positive by fans. With The Hurt Business being looked at fondly by fans, and all members being active – there’s little reason to not bring it back.
