When it comes to legends from the Ruthless Aggression era of WWE, it’s hard to get bigger than John Cena. In addition to being a 16 time World Champion within WWE, Cena has proven himself to be a talented actor. From roles in the likes of DC Comics Suicide Squad and spinoff TV show Peacemaker to Fast 9 – he’s been finding his way into blockbusters. However, one of his upcoming roles might well be his most bizarre yet – as he’s been spotted on set rocking a set of thigh high stockings, high heels and a plaid skirt.
John Cena Traded Out His Jorts For A Skirt
In a photo leaked from the set of comedy movie Ricky Stanicky, where Cena was spotted leaving his trailer dressed in more feminine attire than people are used to seeing from the once great WWE star. It is certainly a long way from the baggy jorts that fans have come to associate with Cena.
The synopsis of the movie on IMDB is as follows.
When three teens pull a prank and burn down a house in their neighborhood, they create a fake person to take the blame — Ricky Stanicky did it! Twenty years later we see that they have been using this alibi to get out of every uncomfortable situation in life. When their wives force them to set up a meeting with Stanicky, they hire an actor.
One of the things that Cena brings to the table as an actor is a willingness to go all in with his roles – as proven by these photos. Other actors involved with this film include Zac Efron and William H. Macy, and it’s being directed by Peter Farrelly.
Cena Should Be Back In WWE By WrestleMania
It is expected that Cena will be able to finish shooting his scenes for this movie in time to be part of WrestleMania 39 in April. While no match has been confirmed for Cena, there’s a strong chance he faces rising star Austin Theory – who currently holds the WWE United States Championship. Theory is viewed potentially as the next face of the company, so getting a high profile match with Cena at WrestleMania would fall in line with those plans and work to elevate him to the next level in the company.
Cena was originally planned to face Cody Rhodes at the event, though plans changed to instead put Rhodes against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. There’s a chance that WWE revisits those plans for Summerslam, as WWE generally brings in top draws like Cena for the “biggest party of the summer”.
