Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
It looks like we’re in for a fun show tonight with some fun matches and continuing build for WrestleMania. Let’s get to the action!
Cody Rhodes vs. Ludwig Kaiser w/Giovanni Vinci
After Kaiser had an early advantage, Cody turned it around as Paul Heyman came out and stood on the stage.
The distraction didn’t work as Cody sent Kaiser to the floor, but Kaiser wouldn’t stay down and kept the pressure on for a pin attempt.
Cody fought back by pulling Kaiser into the ring post, but Kaiser caught him in the ropes to counter the Cody Cutter.
#Imperium's @wwe_kaiser has quite the opportunity here tonight as he battles @CodyRhodes on #SmackDown

Cody was about to close it out with a Cross Rhodes when Solo Sikoa came out and headed to the ring. Kaiser took advantage of the distraction and hit a chop block and sent Cody over the ring steps after they went to the floor.
Kaiser countered a Cross Rhodes by rolling Cody up, but then ate a Cody Cutter and then a Cross Rhodes for the win.
After the match, Heyman and Solo climbed onto the apron and Heyman told Cody he was owed an apology and climbed into the ring to deliver it.
.@CodyRhodes has a message for his #WrestleMania opponent, The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion @WWERomanReigns:

He then reannounced Cody as the winner and challenger for the world title and pointed out there’s a pothole in his way when he faces Solo on Raw next week.
He then said Reigns will be on Smackdown next week to see Cody one final time before WrestleMania.
Cody accused him of moving the goal posts and he refused to decline the match against Solo and told Solo once more that he’s not ready.
He added that after Solo finds out he’s not ready, Reigns will learn the same thing at WrestleMania.
Flair attempts a heel turn
After a recap of her and Rhea Ripley’s exchange last week, Charlotte Flair came to the ring.
Flair talked about her 14 championships were not built on fear, nepotism, or insecurities, which have been used against her by everyone since she started in pro wrestling.
She then explained that the business wasn’t built on fear, it was built on respect and she respects Ripley, not fear her.

As for insecurities, she said she has them and gave the fans grief from saying “What?” in a attempted heel turn.
Nepotism came up and the fans gave her a chorus of “Whoo!” and she loves her dad and will never apologize for continuing the greatest legacy in wrestling history.
