Impact Wrestling Results returned as Scott D’Amore was in the ring with Kushida and Steve Maclin as they waited for Josh Alexander to come out and relinquish the Impact World Championship.
Scott gave a good speech about how accidents happen and reigns end early and unexpectedly. Every ending brings a new beginning, and at Rebellion it’ll either be Kushida or Steve Maclin.
The only thing left is for Josh to relinquish his title, and introduced Josh and he came out with his wife and son.
Josh was greeted by a chant of “Walking Weapon!” Josh talked about all a wrestler needs or wants is an opportunity and he’s seen wrestlers quit before they got their chance.
He spent fourteen years grinding in the Canadian Indies until Scott gave him a contract four years. Since that day he’s never looked back.

He worked hard in Impact and outside to pay back the company and business for the opportunity.
He didn’t intend to let anything stop him from wrestling in Canada as champion, but his injury happened, so he’s going to be a Impact Wrestling fan watching Rebellion.
Josh gave props to Kushida and knows he can make Maclin tap out. He then told Maclin that he may not agree with his methods, but he’s earned his shot and we’ll find out if he has what it takes to be champion.
Not how he intended it
He then warned them that whoever wins and if they hold it long enough for him to be cleared to wrestle he’ll come back to take back the title he never lost.
They can’t make him give it up, but he has too much respect for D’Amore and the business to hold onto it.

When he tried to hand it over, his son took the belt and ran to his mom. Josh talked to him and then handed the title to D’Amore.
Maclin then demanded D’Amore hand him the title, and he called Josh out for ducking him once more and that Josh fears him and this is his way out.
He told Josh’s son his father is a coward and D’Amore ripped into him for it and called him a coward.
Maclin admitted he tapped on his own choice because he’s not prideful like Josh.
Maclin and Kushida got into it and Kushida tried to lock in the Hoverboard Lock, but Maclin got free and slipped to the floor where Kushida hit a dive and reclaimed the title and posed with it before he handed it back to D’Amore.
This was a fun show and great ending between the challengers. What did you think about it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining Impact Wrestling Results. We had a blast and can’t wait for next week.
See you then!
