Last year at WrestleMania – Edge formed The Judgement Day faction to defeat AJ Styles. He brought Damien Priest to his side, followed by Rhea Ripley – only for them to stab him in the back to put Finn Balor in charge.
Edge failed to defeat Balor in a brutal I Quit match at Extreme Rules, with that night putting him out of action for the rest of 2022. Now tonight, Balor steps into Hell in a Cell against Edge – as they look to truly settle their issues, once and for all.
Snoop Dogg Brings Back Shane McMahon, Defeats The Miz In Impromptu Match
Before this match, we’d check in on The Miz & Snoop Dogg. Last night, Miz was booked in a last minute match against Pat McAfee – and after announcing the attendance for the weekend as a combined 161,892 fans. Shane McMahon would rush the ring, and Dogg would book a match between him and Miz.
McMahon would hit his famous punches, but rolled his ankle on a leap frog. Miz was ready to take advantage, but Dogg nailed a punch to the face. Peoples Elbow would follow, and would pin Miz for the win – making Snoop Dogg undefeated at WrestleMania, unlike some Hall of Famers like The Undertaker.
Brood Edge Meets The Demon Himself
Both Edge & Balor would show their dark side, with Edge being Brood Edge – while Balor summoned The Demon. Balor would quickly go hardcore, grabbing a kendo stick and beating Edge down before sending him to the floor with a lariat. Edge would have his face raked along the wall of the cell, which fired him up.
Balor would be trapped by the sell with two kendo sticks, before taking a shotgun dropkick from Edge. A table was pulled out from under the ring, with Balor able to slip free before whipping Edge into the steel steps.
Back in the ring, Edge nailed The Impaler – with The Demon able to absorb this, and hit a slingblade in response – before drop kicking Edge into the cage.
Another dropkick would send Edge though the table, before whipping a chair at Edge in anger. Edge would manage to hit the Killswitch, but only got a one count – prompting Edge to grab a ladder.
He’d simply throw it at Balor, and The Demon was bleeding. The door was opened as medical personnel hit the ring – giving Edge a chance to grab more weapons.
Edge Takes Out Finn Balor With A Brutal Conchairto
Balor was able to recover, hitting the slingblade and Coup De Grace – but Edge was able to kick out somehow. The ladder would be scaled, but Edge took Balor down with the Impaler from the top of the ladder – which was still not enough to keep the demon down for a three count.
Edge would bring a table into the ring, only for Balor to use a kendo stick and set Edge up on the table. Balor would scale the cell and leap off, missing Edge and going trough the table.
Edge would quickly nail a spear – but Balor was still able to kick out. A steel chair was used to batter Balor into the mat, before the ConChairTo was set up. Balor would be crushed with the ConChairTo – and Edge has successfully slayed The Demon at WrestleMania.
