There have been many giants in the history of WWE, including the likes of Andre The Giant, Big Show, Mark Henry and The Great Khali – but there is a new giant who has turned WWE into their stomping grounds.
Omos has been on a steady rise over the past few years, and recently has entered some major PPV matches. He faced Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, and this past weekend – Seth Rollins at Backlash. His match with Rollins impressed WWE officials, which is big news for fans of the Nigerian Giant.
Omos Impresses WWE Officials After Backlash Performance
Coming off the best match of his career, Omos has reportedly impressed key names backstage in WWE. It’s clear that Omos is set to have a strong run in the company, but pulling out a strong performance in a match with little to no build is only something that can help someone’s chances in WWE.
One name in WWE who views Omos highly is Road Dogg – who had the following to say about Omos following WrestleMania 39.
I think no matter what you do with Omos, no matter what happened at WrestleMania, no matter what you do, Omos can walk into any arena in any city in the world and everybody in there will be in awe because I think he is that kind of an attraction.
He has more upside, to me, in my mind, and I know times are different and things are different, than Andre, than Big Show, than all these guys. Big Show is a great athlete. To be as big as he was and drop kicking and, going to the top rope, Big Show is an incredible athlete. This guy is the same kind of athlete.
He’s a really good athlete at that size. It’s really uncommon and it’s really cool to see. He’s really huge. I didn’t look at Big Show like I look at this guy. He’s just so tall and so high above me when you’re standing there talking to him.”
