All great things must eventually come to an end. This is especially true in professional wrestling, where sticking around with one idea for too long simply doesn’t work. You need to know when to end a hot angle, and WWE did just that earlier this year when Sami Zayn would exit the Bloodline.
What followed was a set of high profile PPV matches, first against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber, and then in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Saturday against The Usos. Zayn knows his time in this storyline is done – and hopes fans enjoyed the ride.
Sami Zayn Knows That The Magic Earlier This Year Can’t Be Recreated
While speaking with Inside The Ropes, Sami Zayn would comment on his involvement in the Bloodline storyline going forward. Zayn had the following to say, noting that his time in his story has passed – and the magic felt by fans in Montreal can’t be simply recreated.
“It would be very hard to recreate. I’m done, more or less, and I’m glad I got to do it. There’s not much more to say than that other than I hope everybody enjoyed it and remembers it fondly.”
One Last Tag Team Match Against The Bloodline Set For Night Of Champions
Alongside Kevin Owens, Zayn was able to take the WWE Tag Team Championships away from The Usos at WrestleMania 39. They followed this with a title defense, leading Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa to challenge Zayn & Owens for Night of Champions later this month.
This is likely to be the end of Zayn & Owens involvement with The Bloodline, with many expecting The Usos to screw Reigns & Sikoa out of a victory in Saudi Arabia.
What comes for Zayn & Owens after their involvement with The Bloodline ends is yet to be seen. If they remain the WWE Tag Team Champions, there are many teams ready to challenge the duo – with fresh matches to be found on Smackdown & RAW waiting for them.
