The era of Vince McMahon may be coming to a close in WWE Creative given recent reports that recent ideas he pitched as Roman Reigns’ next feud were scoffed at for being that bad.
That’s just a rumor, but if true it shows how much things have changed in the WWE since Vince retired last summer.
Triple H Finishing up Vince McMahon’s Storylines for SummerSlam
Another indicator is the rumor that Triple H and the WWE will be finishing up with Vince McMahon’s storylines at SummerSlam per a Twitter user called Boozer Rasslin who was accurate during the draft.
If true, this means that whatever comes after that will be Triple H’s ideas and direction. The account went private after Backlash, so any followers will have to be approved.
While there has been marked improvement since Triple H took over WWE Creative, it hasn’t been wholesale changes as far as the product tremendously improving overnight.
In fact, a great analogy came from Jim Cornette when he said (I’m paraphrasing) you can’t turn the Titanic around that fast. He added it’ll probably be a year of so until we see Triple H’s full vision.
This would make sense and be about a year come SummerSlam, and the draft was reportedly we’re looking forward to seeing what Triple H’s full vision will be.

It doesn’t look like Vince will be able to retaliate per se, since it looks like he’s being limited by his bosses at Endeavor.
We mentioned before that Endeavor buying the WWE means he won’t have the final say, and after he badly botched Raw after WrestleMania and social media exploded with #firevincemcmahon trends, it looks like Vince lost all creative power.
This seems likely given how Triple H has been given full control over WWE Creative and the reports that Vince’s pitches for Roman Reigns’ feuds were declined and scoffed at.
That never would’ve happened before as Vince was the one in charge and the entirety of the WWE Creative branch was meant to create shows for an audience of one, not the WWE Universe as was publicly stated numerous times.
Unless something drastic happens, it looks like selling the WWE was the best thing that could’ve happened for the WWE Universe.
We’ve been getting matches that have been allowed to play out instead of rushed, we don’t get the same gimmick finishes multiple times in a row, and the stories and shows are consistent from week to week instead of feeling like they’re slapped together at the last minute.
There appears to be a new guard and a new age taking over the WWE, and while it’s past have been awesome at times, it’s future has every chance to be just as great but in a different way.
