Kevin Nash Might Have to Shake Down Endeavor’s CEO Over WWE Royalties from nWo Shirt Sales

Kevin Nash—like Booker T—always has an interesting take on the ongoings in present day wrestling. He’s also business savvy when it comes to the business. The new World order was a groundbreaking faction in U.S wrestling during the 90s and the iconic black and white shirt became a hot seller after the company closed.

As a matter of fact, it’s still a big seller. However, Kevin Nash wasn’t pleased with his last royalties payment and he might just have to shakedown Endeavor to get what he’s owed.

On his Kliq This podcast with Sean Oliver, money regularly comes up and Nash mentioned that he’s not the only one impacted. According to the former six-time World Champion, there are “several large stars” who have seen their royalties slashed following the purchase by Endeavor.

Obviously, that’s not going to go over well with those on Legends contracts or who have since left the company and still get royalties but Nash was the first to actually say something. He said of the cuts:

“It (July 1st payment) should be 150 percent of what I normally get. But if it’s not, then I guess…Who’s the guy that bought this company?

What’s the guy’s name that bought WWE? Ari, right? So, I guess I’ll be putting a piece of paper in Ari’s hand.” (h/t: WWF Old School)

WWE and UFC merged in April 2023 with the merger expected to be completed later this in the year. Prior to Endeavor stepping in and purchasing WWE, there were a couple or speculated buyers including a controversial one in Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

Triple H would deny that the Saudis were purchasing the company but at the time that didn’t quell concerns. While news of the merger dominated headlines, everyone remembered that it was almost time for roster cuts.

It’s been an interesting time for WWE surrounding this Endeavor purchase and now this rumor of ransacked royalties adds on to things. At the moment it’s just Kevin Nash discussing his royalties being cut. Should other legends mention the same, it could become another issue towards WWE’s reputation.

Let us know what you think of Endeavor—or rather WWE—allegedly cutting royalties payouts.
