‘General Hospital‘ star, Sofia Mattsson (Sasha Gilmore) has welcomed her second child with her husband, Thomas Payton. She shared this wonderful news on Instagram Sunday.

‘General Hospital’s Sofia Mattson is a Mom of Two!

Sofia Mattson and her husband, Thomas Payton welcomed their baby girl on Sunday, May 21, she announced to her fans on her own birthday. The new mum wrote, “Couldn’t ask for a better birthday than spending it with my girl who’s a little over one month today! Born 5-21-23 💖.

Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes!! Feeling very grateful 🥰” Last month, she shared a bump shot on Instagram to announce that she was pregnant. She wrote “many of you guessed it already… Baby girl due in May,” in the caption of the adorable photo of herself showing off her baby bump in a pink floral dress.

Mattson and her husband already share a baby boy, whom they welcomed in July 2021. Earlier this month, she posted a photo from on-set, and said that she hoped she wouldn’t go into labor while working. She wrote, “Filming at 38+ weeks!  Let’s hope my water doesn’t break during the scenes. Would probably make a great blooper though.”

Sofia Mattsson is so good at keeping her personal life away from the public eye. She hid this pregnancy for eight months! Throughout the pregnancy, she made used the costume designers and camera angles’ as clever tactics to cover her growing baby bump.

Her character, Sasha wore oversized coats and carried only large bags in Port Charles. Fans of General Hospital kept wondering something fishy was happening, and they quickly wore their detective hats.

A Reddit user eventually started speculating that the actress could be hiding her baby bump. Following the speculation on Reddit, Sofia came out to reveal on her Instagram that she was 8 months gone.
