In a weird explanation of wrestling relationships, Rob Van Dam was asked about his relationship with the late Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch—also known as WWE’s Sunny. Again, it’s pretty odd but it’s how RVD interpreted it.
Rob Van Dam Gives an Interesting Take On His Relationship with Fellow ECW Alumni Chris Candido and Sunny
Van Dam would tell 1 of a Kind co-host Dominic DeAngelo that he figured they had a decent relationship but felt that there was always some friction between them. Not only that but he felt that friction came from him never sleeping with Tammy and he had his reasons.
“I would respectfully say so just because he’s passed and because there wasn’t any, like, huge issues. But really, we weren’t that tight, you know, and there was some friction. I always thought the friction was because I didn’t f**k Tammy. And that’s the only thing I could think of. I didn’t put her over, and, you know, everyone else did. She was super flirty, and I was at that time married and faithful. Tammy looked great but it was like I know nothing’s gonna happen with that, you know.” (h/t: Sportskeeda)
According to Rob Van Dam, that just wasn’’t appealing to him and that it was off that this was why Candido wasn’t as particularly cool with him. He would mention that best friend Sabu was cool with Candido and that normally, if Sabu was in, he was in.
That simply wasn’t the case with Chris Candido but RVD also admits that It was tough time to specifics from this time. Or perhaps there actually is more to why the relationship wasn’t great but he’s remaining respectful of Chris Candido.
Stories of Tammy’s backstage dalliances aren’t new at all nor is the story of Chris and Tammy’s relationship. Could RVD deciding not to sleep with Tammy be that much of an issue?
