It appears that Triple H is very big on Indus Sher, originally an NXT tandem. Indus Sher is a tag team consisting of superstars Sanga and Veer Mahaan who are associated with Jinder Mahal.
Needless to say, this is an impressive faction with demolition being on the table in as they were drafted to WWE’s RAW brand.
Triple H Reportedly Has Big Plans for WWE RAW Tag Team Indus Sher
While Triple H sees something in the tag team of Veer and Sanga, the company was initially big on Veer as a singles competitor following the original run of Indus Sher in NXT. In May 2021, Veer would join up with Jinder Mahal and the missing superstar Shanky. The trio would be a part of the RAW brand until October 2021 when Shanky and Mahal were drafted to SmackDown.
WWE creative began pushing Veer as a singles star starting with a repackaging and a return as Veer Mahaan. For a short time, he was racking up victories via squash matches which—in the 2020s—tend to go over poorly on WWE television.
Seeing that Veer wasn’t getting the desired reactions from the squashes, he was pulled from TV and eventually ended was paired up with Sanga again in late 2022. The tandem became a dominant force similar to the Authors of Pain before them. During the 2023 WWE Draft, Indus Sher was drafted to RAW and seems to be doing well so far.
That’s good for the Indus Sher group as WWE has plans to make the Indian market an international stomping ground. This also gives fans an indication of what to expect from creative. First, the company isn’t just loaded with talent from or representing the subcontinent. WWE will have to commit if they want an ethnic superstar to further peak interest in the show.
Second, we know the time window for WWE to get it done with Indus Sher as the promotion is running a show in India this September. That’s how long the company will have to commit to this push and a lot of positive or negative things can happen in that time.
Another unknown is what will WWE do with Indus Sher following the September event. Share your thoughts on Mahal, Veer, and Sanga in the comments and let us know what you see for the team for the remainder of 2023—if anything.
