One of the more tragic injuries in recent memory came in early 2022. Former WWE Champion and member of The New Day, Big E – would suffer a broken neck.
It was an accident after a suplex went wrong, causing Big E to land on top of his head. Since then, fans have been wondering when, or if, he will return to the ring. Big E is now back with another positive update on his status.
Big E Feels 100%, Still Has No Timetable For WWE Return
While speaking with Corey Graves on the WWE After The Bell podcast, Big E would be asked how he’s feeling. He would have the following response.
“I feel great. Unfortunately, I don’t have a timetable. The great thing is, I feel 100%, I don’t even feel like someone who broke their neck. My mobility is incredible and great. My strength is great, I have no issues whatsoever. I wish I had some answers on returning to the ring. I have nothing, unfortunately, but the beautiful thing is I feel great, my body feels great, I’m really thankful for that. Life is good. I’m blessed. I can walk around and touch my toes, go to the gym, all those things. Really grateful,.”
Big E would go on to thank everyone that helped and supported him along the way.
“Thank you to everyone, I love you guys. I appreciate the love and support. I am doing beautifully. Mind, body, soul, all those things are incredible.”
Fans Want To See Him End His Career On His Own Terms
Ever since this injury occurred – fans have simply been happy to see Big E being able to live a normal life. It was such a scary situation, that his future in the ring didn’t cross the minds of fans until it was known that he was okay.
Now, after a few positive updates from Big E and those close to him – hope is showing up that we will see him in the ring once again.
Even if it’s a situation like with WWE Hall of Famer Edge, where he returned almost ten years after neck injury – that would be perfect. Fans want to see Big E end his career on his own terms, even if it takes a while to reach that point.
