‘General Hospital’ (GH) star, Tyler Christopher has shared about the domestic abuse he experienced, saying “being homeless was a far better circumstance than being in guardianship.” The soap opera star claimed that he was abused by his family member when he was recovering from his brain injury.

In 2021, the soap opera star started having doubts over his sister, Asmo Baker’s intentions with his guardianship. He told Bloomberg Law that his sister misused the guardianship by spending the money on her own whims.
He said that she used $40,000 to pay her credit card bill and relocated her family from North Carolina to Ohio. He also claimed that she used his money to purchase miscellaneous things them.
When he found out, he ended the guardianship and take action against his sister’s mishandling. Tyler said that he hired an attorney to examine the irregularities in his accounts, and at first, his sister denied having spent his money.
She eventually agreed to review the finances early this year. If his allegations are true, his sister will have to return the money she misspent, but she is proven to be “not guilty” the actor will have to reimburse her for the accounting cost.
In 2019, Tyler slipped, hit his head on the back of a bathtub, and fractured his skull. When this happened, his sister filed a petition to take charge of his finances while he recovered, and the petition was approved in early 2020.
Tyler’s sister was responsible for negotiating with his creditors, selling his home, as well as hiring a lawyer to represent him during his divorce. However, a heartbroken Tyler said, “I never thought in a million years that I would be taken advantage of by a family member.”
The actor also said that he did not know when the guardianship was taken as he was recovering in the hospital. Hopefully, the General Hospital alum will come out of this sad situation stronger and better.
