In 1981, actor Thaao Penghlis made his debut on ‘General Hospital’, and he started playing the role of Victor Cassadine, who became the main antagonist. He stole the Ice Princess diamond, and when his then-girlfriend, Tiffany Hill, discovered what he was up to, she helped Robert, Luke, and Laura to take him down.
Victor was eventually sent to prison, and the producers wrote his role off the soap. However, in 2014, he returned to reprise his role, and appeared in a few episodes.
Now, actress Kathleen Gati, who portrays Liesl Obrecht on the show, has shared an exciting news about Thaao. On July 15th, the actress tweeted how she enjoyed working with Thaao Penghlis on ‘General Hospital’. Her tweet raised many speculations among fans.
Thaao Penghlis replied to her tweet, also writing that he enjoyed working with Kathleen as well. He also referred to her as a pro and a lovely human. Gati shared photos of them looking happy.

Victo was last played by Charles Shaughnessy, and he is presumed dead from a drone strike in Greenland. However, this is soap opera, and we know that anything is possible in the soap world.
So fans should not be surprised when they see Victor return from the “dead.” Writers can resurrect the character from the dead for a juicy twist. Was Gati’s tweet telling us that the role would be reprised by Thaao Penghlis?
It is also possible that the writers plan to bring Penghlis back for a whole new character since fans love Charles Shaughnessy as Victor.
