Since making her return to the ring earlier this year, we’ve seen Trish Stratus prove that she was not just good for her era in WWE.
Her feud with Becky Lynch has seen her take on a heel persona for the first time in two decades, and has put her at the top of the division. She was able to enter his first ladder match at Money In The Bank 2023 – and has another gimmick match in mind for this run.
Trish Stratus Wants A Cage Match
While speaking with TVA Sports, Trish Stratus would day that she has never had a cage match, and really wants to feel what that is like.
“I never had a cage match! It doesn’t matter the type of cage. The one without a roof, a Hell in a Cell, or an Elimination Chamber. There were so many things we weren’t allowed to do back then. I remember I was hit with a chair once and everyone was freaking out. I was like, god, can you just hit me with a chair! So now I want a cage!”
There Is More Chances Than Ever For Women In WWE In 2023
It’s almost baffling to think there is someone in the WWE Hall Of Fame who has never had one of the more iconic match types. However, this was the nature of the WWE women’s division during the ‘Diva’s Era’ – with there being severe limitations on the talent. The women’s evolution truly changed the company for the better in this regard.
Trish managed a few hardcore matches in her career all the same, notably facing Victoria in one at Survivor Series 2002. Given the rising intensity of the feud between Trish & Lynch, we could expect to see them in a Hell in A Cell match later this year. Lynch has experience in the match type, and would be able to assist Trish in putting together a classic for the ages in the structure.
