Sheila is so happy after the incident at the beach. Even though she was there to spy on her son, Finn, it actually paid off. She ended up becoming the hero that saved Kelly from drowning.
How can anyone continue to see her as an evil person after that heroic act? She begins to get her hopes high, but Deacon will remind her that just one good deed will not suddenly erase all the bad memories people have of her.
Has she suddenly forgotten shot Finn and his wife and almost gunned down the only mother Finn has ever known? She must be delusional if she thinks they will just forget because she saved Kelly.
Deacon tells her that she has a lot to prove and forgiveness isn’t will not come easy. Yes, she did a good thing when she saved Kelly, but will she continue doing the right thing? Sheila has a very dark side to her that she may never be able to curb for a very long time.
