WWE Smackdown Results returned as a recap of Jey Uso taking out the Bloodline and his brother played and a depressed Paul Heyman sat backstage when he was approached by Kayla Braxton for an update on the Bloodline.

He said no, and refused to comment on the headspace of Roman Reigns, and when she mentioned rumors he quickly mocked her about what rumors she could possibly have for him.

He mentioned hearing rumors about her family and continued to mock her about not asking him about Edge or anything important.

He then took a phone call and said it’s a spoiler that Jimmy Uso will be live on next week’s Smackdown and refused to share his source.

"YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME…" 🤘

We'll never get tired of hearing it. 🥹#Edge25 #SmackDown pic.twitter.com/yxTfOUG7p5

    Sheamus vs. Edge

This is Edge’s final contracted match with the WWE and could be his final match overall.

Edge took in the atmosphere as he headed to the ring in his hometown and the crowd was deafening as he got a standing ovation as Edge wore Maple Leaf colored tights.

He looked emotional to start but held it together as they locked up and Edge hit a shoulder block off the ropes.

Sheamus returned the favor with his own shoulder block and the fans were already chanting “This is awesome!”

    SPEAR??!!! 🫢

Sheamus hit an Irish Curse to some boos, but Edge fought back with some rights and a pair of clotheslines followed by a neckbreaker for a near pinfall.

After a back and forth, Edge power bombed Sheamus off the apron to the floor. He threw Sheamus into the ring and headed to the top rope to hit a crossbody for a near pinfall.

Edge went for a Educator, but Sheamus kicked out of it and caught him with a body slam for a near pinfall as the crowd quieted and some booed.

Amidst boos, Sheamus went for ten beats but Edge caught him and fired off ten of his own, then followed it with a series of knees as he wrapped Sheamus up in the ropes, and then speared Edge off the apron to the floor.

Sheamus locked in a cloverleaf during the commercial break and Edge nearly tapped out, but he fought out of the hold by punching Sheamus’ leg and locked in a crossface.

    WHAT. A. MATCH.

    THANK YOU, @EdgeRatedR. 👏👏👏#Edge25 #SmackDown pic.twitter.com/wafIg8Q0DE

    Going out a winner

Sheamus was able to drag them both to the ropes to break the hold. Edge responded by hitting a superplex followed by an Edgucution for a near pinfall.

Edge headed to the top rope, but Sheamus went after him and hit a White Noise and then a Celtic Cross for a near pinfall.

This time Sheamus connected with his Ten Beats and Edge flipped him off, so Sheamus hit another twenty to more boos.

Edge nailed him with a clothesline to counter a Brogue Kick, and then lined Sheamus up for a spear Sheamus countered with a knee and then hit a Brogue Kick for another near pinfall.

Edge avoided another Brogue Kick and went for a rollup, then hit a spear but Sheamus kicked out.

He hit another spear and this time got the win. Fireworks went off as he celebrated his win and he and Sheamus embraced as the show ended.

This was a fun match to close out the night and Edge’s career if this is indeed the end. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Results.

We had a blast and can’t wait to see you all next week.

    See you then!
