With Impact Wrestling’s celebration of their 1000th episode of IMPACT! coming, the company is going all out to give the fans some matches from some favorites.
Not only is D-Von Dudley returning to reform Team 3-D with Bully Ray, but it’s been announced that Awesome Kong and Gail Kim are coming out of retirement for the night as well.
And with the Beautiful People in the house and Traci Brooks will be in action as well, there’s plenty of nostalgia and new action to keep us cheering throughout.
But so far, not much has been released about the card aside of Alex Shelley defending the Impact World Championship against Trey Miguel and Frankie Kazarian and Traci Brooks vs. Eddie Edwards and Alisha Edwards.

The band’s back together
It’s going to be fun seeing so many favorites back in action. It’s been seven years since Team 3-D were together after wrestling in ECW, WWE, and TNA and they’ve had some of the most memorable matches in history throughout their careers.
The pair went their separate ways in 2016 with D-Von remaining in the WWE to transition into working as a producer while Bully went to ROH.

Gail Kim decided to come out of retirement while she was on Busted Open Radio. Her last match was at Rebellion 2019 against Tessa Blanchard.
On the podcast, Kim responded to Awesome Kong returning by taking up her own challenge.
“What do you think, Tommy [Dreamer]? What are your opinions on this? [He said do it]. If Tommy says do it, then I’ll do it. If [Awesome] Kong can do it, if the Beautiful People can do it, If D-Von can do it, Gail, Kim can do it.”
Kong will step into the ring for the first time in three years when the show airs on September 9. The current card is as follows:

This is going to be a fun show in every way as we get so many favorites back and we’re sure their returns will trigger plenty of memories, and we wouldn’t be surprised if we see some flashback footage leading up to the show and during, and that’s only going to make it more fun.
