The WWE has made some curious choices with storylines over the years, and what Nia Jax is doing taking out every female competitor she can is a curious one.
It’s the typical monster formula where the wrestler comes in and decimates everyone around them. It’s a tried and true formula to get a new star off to a running start and build them up.
Nia Jax Returned to Destroy the Women’s Division on Roman Reigns’ Orders?
But with a veteran everyone knows like Jax, her return needs something more to it than just destroying everyone because she can or because she’s angry and vengeful.
Don’t get me wrong, those are great reasons and there are tons of potentially fun storylines that can come from that, but could there be something more this time.
Say, something Bloodline related?
Fresh blood for the Bloodline
The Bloodline storyline has, in all honesty, run its course and the last few weeks the WWE has been trying new tricks to reenergize it.
The fact is it would’ve been done with a while back had Sami Zayn not caught on fire with it and revitalized it, but now it’s a shell of itself.
So it’d make sense for them to bring Nia Jax back to add some juice to the storyline.
There’ve been rumors for year that they were going to bring Naomi back and have her join them, but now that she’s in Impact Wrestling as their Knockouts World Champion under her real name Trinity, that wasn’t going to happen.
That opened the door for Nia Jax. While she isn’t directly related to Roman Reigns via sibling or parentage, they do share a common lineage of the Samoan dynasty of the Anoa’i clan that’s given us so many iconic wrestlers over the years.
To be fair, the rules were never stated as to how someone was related to Reigns, only that they had to be part of the blood family.
Why is she back?
Well, for personal reasons like taking out Shayna Baszler after she injured her, but also to remove Rhea Ripley thanks to Judgement Day trying to recruit Jey Uso.
It’s fair to assume Reigns wants Jey back in the family fold, and anyone trying to offer him a new family will be the top threat and have to be dealt with.
But more so, Reigns may simply want her to destroy and dominate the women’s division in general. It’ll add more championship gold to the Bloodline and reestablish their dominance by taking Ripley down.
