No stranger to controversy himself, UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has called out one of the Internet’s most divisive figures as a “con man.”
Strickland took serious issue with social media influencer and alleged sex trafficker Andrew Tate when he appeared on the Full Send podcast.
UFC Middleweight Champ Sean Strickland Blasts “Con Man” Andrew Tate
Strickland took a break from verbally berating the hosts of the podcast to shine a light on his red-hot take on Andrew Tate, who is currently under house arrest after being indicted on charges of rape, human trafficking, and forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women.
“Here’s the thing about Andrew Tate, as young men, I could see why you guys look up to him because you are moral-less men.
You have no values, you have no positive male role models. So you latch onto a piece of sh*t like Tate, who has money, who has women. You say, you know, I want to be like Tate.
You say all my problems in the world they’re because women are wh*res because this is… that’s not it. You watch an interview where he goes on and tells about how he pretended to be a cam girl and how he used to rob people’s savings.
Strickland continued, labeling Tate a “con artist” and a “piece of sh*t.” Strickland, curiously, came off as more bothered that Tate refuses to own up to being a “piece of sh*t” than being a “piece of sh*t” itself.
“To see the way he talked with no remorse, it wasn’t, ‘You know what, man? I did something so morally wrong. I took advantage of men, I took money from men.’
It was like, ‘No, f*** them. I’m a con artist, I’m a piece of sh*t.’ So, Andrew Tate, you guys, if you want to look up to a guy, look up to a guy like Jordan Peterson.
He understands masculinity, honesty, how to be a f***ing man, but I’m telling you, Andrew Tate, he’s not your messiah. He would turn you out for a dollar. He’s a f***ing pimp, he’s a wh*re.”
Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan are currently under investigation for charges related to human trafficking in Romania. After the end of Tate’s former career as a kickboxer, he emerged on TikTok as an influencer targeting young men with anti-feminist soundbites.
Sean Strickland himself is no stranger to anti-feminist sentiment, recently courting controversy in Australia by telling women to return to the home and stop working.
