WWE Smackdown Results returned as McAfee and the Rock were backstage talking about being in Denver, and the McAfee pointed out John Cena and Cena and Rock shook hands and embraced.
Elsewhere, Jimmy paced back and forth when Balor came up and thanked him for the assist. Jimmy said he was only repaying the favor they did him last week.
Balor pointed out he saw Jey last week about joining the Judgement Day and he didn’t say no, so he made a pitch to Jimmy about joining them as well.
Jimmy turned him down and Balor pointed out there are no leaders in the Judgement Day, which means no Roman Reigns.
After Balor headed off, Paul Heyman approached Jimmy seemingly to ask him about that.
Escobar gets his title shot
The LWO was in the ring and Rey talked about how the LWO became his family after he came to Smackdown, and Santos Escobar praised him for finishing what he started by winning the United States Championship.

He added his dream was to face Rey for a title, and he asked Rey if he’d offer him a title shot. After sharing mutual respect, Rey accepted.
And that brought Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits out and quickly antagonized the LWO, and the LWO challenged them to a match.
LWO (Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde) w/Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, Zelina Vega vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford) w/Bobby Lashley
Wilde and Ford started it off and Wilde went for a quick pin attempt, and Dawkins tagged in to eat a couple of kicks from Wilde as Ford tagged in and they hit a Revelation for a quick win.

After the match, Lashley sent them in to beat down their opponents and Rey and Escobar tired to break it up. Lashley hit Escobar from behind, then the Profits took out Rey.
LA Knight vs. The Miz
After Miz attempted a headlock, Knight nailed him with a shoulder tackle, and then a second one before Miz drew him in and pulled him into the turnbuckles.
The Miz kept after him with a series of chops and Knight took advantage of him jawing at the ref to his some chops of his own and a power slam for a near pinfall.
Miz sent him to the apron, but Knight caught him with a shoulder and a leaping shoulder tackle over the top rope for a pin attempt.
Miz turned it around with a knee and a running kick.

The fans got under the Miz’s skin and that allowed Knight to fire off a few moves for a pin attempt.
Miz turned it around thanks to raking Knight’s eyes and hit a running knee for a near pinfall.
Knight fought out of a Skull Crushing Finale attempt and hit a clothesline, DDT, and then stomped Miz down for a near pinfall.
They traded roll up attempts and Miz went for a DDT but Knight held onto the ropes to avoid the impact. Miz fired off some knees and a double knee in the ropes for another near pinfall.
After dropping Miz into the ropes, Knight finished him off with Blunt Force Trauma.
Knight grabbed a mic after the match and said since the minute he stepped into Smackdown, he’s got his eyes set on gold and it doesn’t matter if it’s Rey, Rollins, Reigns, or GUNTHER and fired the crowd up following his challenge to any champion.
Solo Sikoa and Heyman watched it from backstage, and Solo wanted to take care of him. Heyman told him the order comes from Reigns, and he hasn’t gotten the order yet.
He explained they have to deal with Jimmy since he’s picking all these fights and Solo will have to fight them. Solo promised to finish it tonight.
