Kevin Nash definitely keeps up with the business and has an interest in different talents. He believes that former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and ex-NXT star Enzo Amore—now wrestling as Real1—should be brought back to WWE and can’t understand why he hasn’t been re-signed yet.
Kevin Nash Believes Enzo Amore Now Known as Real1 Should Be Re-Signed by WWE
It seems to be a mystery for Nash why Real1, lauded as an extremely energetic and charismatic wrestler hasn’t been signed to some promotion. The last company of note he’s been in is MLW where he was involved in some fisticuffs with Jacob Fatu and Mance Warner. Amore has also appeared internationally for AAA and New Japan.
While discussing Brian Pillman Jr joining WWE on Kliq This, he touched on Amore not being signed:
“He signed with NXT, yes. I was friends with his father, we ran up and down the road together. He’s a good talent. I think he wrestled Enzo, yeah him and Enzo had a hell of a match. I don’t understand why Enzo can’t get hired someplace. I’m really surprised that he can’t get hired someplace. I know he, you know, at the beginning got some sh*t, but…” (h/t: Wrestling Inc)
For context, he was with WWE from 2012 until 2018 where he came up through the NXT system and regularly tagged with Big Bill—better known as Big Cass. In 2018, a sexual assault allegation kneecapped his WWE career and he took to the indies. The allegations were later dropped but the damage was already done.
However, no company wanted to sign him. As was the case with his MLW run ending, he could be viewed as somewhat difficult when it came to booking. On the 36-year old’s talent Kevin Nash is right in this respect. Amore is a talented wrestler who can do decently against most n and can turn it up whenever.
