Iyo Sky was the latest to make full use of the Money In The Bank briefcase, stealing the WWE Women’s Championship from Bianca Belair at Summerslam.

Tonight, she does the hard work of a champion as she looks to defend her belt against two former champions in Charlotte Flair and Asuka. She doesn’t need to be pinned or submitted to lose her belt, meaning she needs to be on high alert.

Charlotte Flair Looks To Prove She’s Still The Measuring Stick Of WWE

Iyo Sky would choose to leave Damage CTRL partner Bayley in the back, saying she has a plan coming into tonight.

Flair would hit a big boot to Sky as the match began, before Asuka would spray Flair in the face with the poison mist. Asuka would try to roll up Flair for the win, but Sky would break the pinfall up.

Flair would be checked out by the ringside doctors, as Sky & Asuka would fight in the ring. A running roundhouse kick to Sky would land, as Flair hit the ring with a big boot to Asuka.

Fallaway Slam on Sky would send the champion flying, before Asuka & Sky worked together to try to gain ground against Flair, taking two to beat Flair.

Sky would drop Asuka with the hotshot using the top rope before a Springboard Dropkick. Asuka would fire back with a German Suplex as she caught Sky on the top rope, before a sliding kick from Asuka landed.

Flair would hit the ring once again, and cut down both opponents with swift strikes. A backbreaker would be followed by Flair hitting a step over double lariat – getting a two count.

Iyo Sky Works Smart And Hard To Remain Champion

Asuka would try for a German Suplex, but Sky caught her with a Sunset Flip for a two count. Sky would take Flair out, before sending Asuka to the floor.

Flair would take advantage with the moonsault from the top rope – before looking to set up a moonsault in the ring. Sky was there to make the save – but was lifted into a Super Samoan Drop.

Asuka would pull Flair & Sky down with a powerbomb, and would cover Sky first and only got a two count. Flair would get Asuka in a Boston Crab before moving to the Figure Four – only for Sky to break things up with a running knee strike. Asuka & Sky would apply a double submission on Flair – but she broke free and cut Asuka down with a spear.

Bayley would rush to ringside to help Sky, but this would lead to Flair hitting a big boot on Sky. Asuka would hit a Flying Codebreaker. Bayley would distract Asuka – allowing Flair to lock in the Figure Four. Sky took advantage, hitting a Moonsault for the victory – remaining WWE Women’s Champion.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
