Days Of Our Lives and General Hospital fans know Wally Kurth for his dual roles on both DOOL (Justin Kiriakis) and GH (Ned Quartermaine).
Starting on Days in 1987, he took a break in 1991, which led him to General Hospital. After returning to Days in 2009, he’s skillfully managed both characters ever since 2013. This dedication even earned him a recent Daytime Emmy nomination!
Working with an Ex on General Hospital
While discussing filming scenes for his on-screen daughter’s wedding on General Hospital, Wally revealed a fun anecdote. “It was a real wedding for once!” he shared, referencing the show’s dramatic flair.
“Even better, my ex-wife (Rena Sofer) was there playing one of the guests. We get along well!” The former couple, married from 1995 to 1997, share a daughter.
Days of Our Lives Shocker on the Horizon
Wally recently opened up about his Emmy reel submission, which featured scenes dealing with the death of beloved character, Victor (played by the late John Aniston). “Loss is something everyone experiences,” he said, highlighting the show’s ability to connect with viewers through emotional storylines.
Fans of Justin Kiriakis were left reeling when it was revealed Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) wasn’t his son after all.
However, Wally hinted at a major twist coming up. Apparently, the whole “Victor being the father” story was a lie!
