Lala Kent has opened up on how she will break the news of her break up with Randall Emmett to her daughter, Ocean, when she grows up.

The pair walked away after reports confirmed that Randall had been unfaithful with Lala with numerous women. And given that this revelation had come on the back end of news of the duo having a daughter, it naturally complicated matters.
As they are still a part of each other’s lives, by virtue of co-parenting, Lala recognises that she has to tell her daughter at some point in the future.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, she said: “I worry about a lot of things. But I will explain to my daughter, if she has questions and the time is appropriate, what happened. It will be an open conversation.”
It could have been quite easy for Lala to portray a negative image of Randall, but for the sake of her daughter, this would not help matters.
Instead, she is focused on making sure that her daughter becomes a person that people can look up to, and in the process of doing so, she can avoid the mistakes that Lala may have made.
She added: “No matter what, I am her mama – which means I will teach her the importance of being a good person. The world isn’t ready for the force my daughter will become.”
The response on social media was brutal, however. A certain subset of people felt that Lala was not capable of setting her daughter a good example. This was based on her prior track record, which included a problem with substance abuse.
As such, she was the last person that should be speaking on such matters. One person wrote: “She’s a home wrecking single mom. Alcoholic. A real role model.”
If Lala’s daughter manages to have half the success that her mother has had, then she should be fine. There is no exact science when it comes to parenting, and this is something Lala is fully aware of in light of what she has been through.
