The comedian had abruptly left the platform after having only been on it for around one week. And immediately in the aftermath of it, fans began to speculate that this could have been as a result of Kanye’s trolling.
After all, the rapper did decide to follow the comedian which was clearly seen as a move designed to intimidate Pete. And given that the comedian has now left, Kanye wanted to let the whole world know that he had managed to get one over him.
In a post to his fans on Instagram, Kanye said: “Ran Skete off the gram Tell your mother I changed your name for life.” This comment would run counter to what the rapper had said previously when it came to the comedian.
He had made it clear that he was not going to comment about Pete after having declared that his ex Kim Kardashian had pleaded with him not to do so.
However, the fact that he has pleasure at making another man leave the platform demonstrates that his intention was to get under Pete’s skin. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.
Large numbers of people slammed Kanye for the fact that he was vocal about not being able to see his children, and yet, at the same time he was mocking someone else who was struggling with the scrutiny from social media.
One person wrote: “Everybody is saying @kanyewest is standing up for his family/mental health, but at what point was it ok for him to publicly bully Pete Davidson?
“Smh Kanye’s got nothing but mother issues an stalking issues.” Surely, Kanye cannot be allowed to continue like this without there being any consequences for his actions. After all, something has to give surely.
Pete has made it clear, by his silence, that he is not interested in engaging in any attacks. And it is about time that Kanye gets that message and moves on too. So there you have it folks. Did Kanye cross the line?
