Why Pete Davidson Didn't Show Up During The Last "Saturday Night Live" Episode REVEALED

Pete Davidson‘s Absence from this week’s Saturday Night Live has been said to be a result of his busy schedule as he is reportedly busy with the filming of his upcoming movie.

According to reports, the celebrated comedian is currently shooting his film ‘The Home,’ so  his close pal John Mulaney hosted this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live.

A reporter has said, “The 28-year-old TV star is busy in the filming of a horror film, directed by James DeMonaco, as he’s trying to settle in the leading character’s role of Max, a troubled man who begins to work at a nursing home and soon finds out that its residents and caretakers harbor sinister secrets”.

As Pete’s character is discovering more about the house and its residents, he soon discovers his connection to the house dates way back to his childhood. Before his absence, a source close to Pete Davidson had confirmed that the star won’t be present for the Saturday Night Live on February 26, stating the reasons for his absence.

Throughout his acting career, the fan-favorite SNL cast member, who met his fiancée Kim Kardashian while she was hosting one of the SNL episodes, has played different roles. Pete has portrayed Scott Carlin in Judd Apatow’s semi-autobiographical comedy “The King of Staten Island,” a short-lived supervillain in the DC blockbuster “Suicide Squad,” and even Mötley Crüe’s A&R manager with Machine Gun Kelly in “the dirt.”

When recently asked about Pete’s star quality on the Howard Stern show, Ben Stiller expressed his feelings on his friend’s acting career saying, “He just has a real charm about him”, Ben further explained, “I think he wants to act and he’s making movies and taking real acting roles.” The Zoolander actor added, “I get the sense that he’s a guy who loves to work, cares about his work, and I think that’s how he’s going to be known. He’s got a lot of great work ahead of him too.”
