The professional wrestling world has been in a state of flux and growth over the last year or two as each company has tried to work through the pandemic and new landscape that’s rapidly unfolding.

While most of the Indie wrestling companies have found a rebirth after the WWE released the bulk of their roster for budget cuts, Ring of Honor (ROH) paused their shows following Final Battle 2021 until April.

ROH was a stand up company throughout the pandemic as they continued to pay their talent’s contracts rather than release them, and they’re looking to rebrand or retool for their return.

    Finding new homes

With the pause, a lot of ROH’s talent have found new homes or endeavors to help fulfill their dreams.

While Brody King and Jay Lethal have joined AEW and PCO signed with Impact Wrestling, ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham started his own promotion called TERMINUS.

But as is often the case with anyone, Gresham has to keep hustling to make sure he can stay financially stable, and if that includes going to the WWE or AEW, he’s open to the possibility.

He’s currently a free agent and he spoke with Metro when the topic came up. Special thanks to Cultaholic.com for the transcript.

“To be transparent – what I’m doing right now is fulfilling, but at the end of the day, I need to make money. If one of these places starts knocking, I have to consider it! I have a family, I don’t wanna burn my wife out and lose all the things I’ve acquired over these years, so I have to make money. I’ve lived my dream, I’ve accomplished everything I wanted to do. Now, I have to just go with whatever comes, as long as it works out! I have to do it!”

His outlook is very relatable and we wish him the best as things continue to move forward. He’s one of the most talented wrestlers in the world and any promotion would be lucky to have him.

We have little doubt his hard work will continue to pay off. During ROH’s hiatus, he’s continued to defend the ROH world title in several promotions and is reportedly ready to return to ROH for their Supercard of Honor XV show in April.

Until then, it’s going to be fun to continue showing support and watching him wherever her performs.

Which company would he be better suited for, WWE or AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
