Last week, we went into Simon Leviev—“The Tinder Swindler”—picking up L.A talent agent Gina Rodriguez for a run in the entertainment industry. Now, it looks as though The Tinder Swindler has found a legit calling on Cameo. According to TMZ, Leviev joined Cameo on February 16 and managed to pick up a ton of users and fans who want the now-legit lothario to make messages for them.
The Tinder Swindler Is Pulling In $200 and $1K Per Video Message on Cameo
Simon Leviev is pulling in $200 per personal video message such as birthday wishes and shoutouts. He’s also getting $1K for professional-use videos—or promos. During his first few days on Cameo, it’s reported that he made over $30K. So far, his Cameo page has 628 fans, 69 comments from satisfied users, and a rating just under 5-out-of-5 with the lowest being a 3-out-of-5.
Honestly, it’s a good way to capitalize on his recently-found fame—or notoriety—while keeping his name out there. Often after attention comes to a personality following a Netflix doc, there’s a quick cool off after the hype dies down and interest fades. Couple this with Netflix’s The Tinder Swindler dropping during the true crime boom and you have someone who will hold people’s attention until the next juicy story drops.
As for Leviev, he’s done what few others have done and spun that into a legitimate moneymaking opportunity. Not only that but it’s likely to only be the first step if rumored plans for his entertainment career take off.
