Who Has Been Involved In The Most Matches This Year?

Most wrestlers on the WWE roster pride themselves on being the workhorse. However, while superstars such as Brock Lesnar and Triple H may only be involved in a handful of matches on a yearly basis, there are some that have reached over 100 matches this year.

These superstars are the true workhorses of the WWE, but which one of them has been involved in the most matches over the past 12 months? Here are the top five.

    Ricochet (154 Matches)

The man leading the way is the superman of the WWE locker room. The nickname has certainly been vindicated over the past 12 months as his astonishing feat of competing in 154 matches can not be surpassed by anybody. The stats mean that he has competed in a match just over every 2.7 days.

The feat is even more incredible when you consider that he wasn’t even on the main roster until the end of February. Since then, he has won the United States Championship and has competed in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. There have been rumours that he may be asking for his release in the new year, but that would be a massive loss to the WWE if he was to leave.

Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder (148 and 146 Matches Respectively)

These two superstars have to go in as a pair, but it is astounding that these two may have been an unexpected inclusion on this list. The Revival are one of the best tag teams in the world, and like Ricochet, they could also be asking for their release in the new year.

They have enjoyed three tag team championship reigns this year, and they also became the first team to win the Raw, SmackDown and NXT tag titles. They also became the first co-champions of the WWE 24/7 Championship.

    Seth Rollins (145 Matches)

Rollins is consistently one of the hardest working men in the locker room. However, he grew a little stale towards the end of the year. He defeated Brock Lesnar to capture the Universal Title at WrestleMania, before winning the title for a second time from Lesnar at SummerSlam. He lost the gold to The Fiend at Crown Jewel.

The most interesting character development came towards the end of the year when he aligned with the AOP to turn heel. We will be expecting more of Rollins in 2020.

    Kofi Kingston (140 Matches)

This year will always be the year of Kofi Kingston. Some members of the WWE Universe believed that his title reign turned sour towards the end, but I would have loved to see it continue for longer. He was an afterthought in the end as the gold was passed on to Lesnar in Fox’s debut episode.

However, that moment when he finally won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania will be forever one of the great WWE moments. The atmosphere on that night was electric, and Kingston finally reached the top of the mountain after 13 years.
