Kourtney Kardashian may be one of the most famous women on the planet, but she has no problem making the first move to get a man’s attention. The eldest Kardashian sister says it was her who initiated the first kiss with Travis Barker after growing tired of waiting for him to show that he’s interested.
After being close friends and neighbors for eight years, Kardashian and Barker finally spent some alone time together during the pandemic. Their first ‘date’ consisted of watching movies, but Kourtney soon grew impatient and decided to change the trajectory of their encounter. Kourtney proudly credits herself as being the aggressor in the relationship, sharing, “He was taking a long time [to kiss me]. I was like, I don’t have time for this movie marathon. So, I made the first move”.
Kourtney Kardashian Reveals It Was HER The First Move on Travis Barker
Kourtney and the Blink-182 drummer have been seemingly inseparable, packing on ample PDA every chance they get. They have also gotten the seal of approval from the matriarch of the Kardashian family, Kris Jenner, who gushed, “They are so happy and seem so in love and never stop making out, by the way. Like, ever.”
Kourtney recently confessed “I was definitely always attracted to Travis” after many years of keeping him in the dreaded friend-zone. “Travis is my boyfriend. Our homes are a block away from each other. He was one of my closest friends for probably eight years. We used to work out together, all of the time.
Just us doing stuff on a friend level, we could just be ourselves. We fell in love and, now, he’s my boyfriend,” said Kourtney in the show’s first episode. The pair have since gone on to get engaged on October 17 and even had a highly-publicized ‘practice wedding’ in Las Vegas on April 3.
Speaking of her worth, Kourtney boasted that she is now “a girl who finally knows what she deserves” which could be interpreted as a dig at her past relationships. She most notably had an on-again, off-again, relationship with Scott Disick from 2006 until 2015. Together they share three children, Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7.
Kourtney has also been very vocal about her plans to have a baby with Travis, who was previously married to Shanna Moakler and shares son Landon, 18, daughter Alabama, 16, along with step daughter Atiana, from Moakler’s first marriage to Oscar De La Hoya.
Kourtney and Travis’ relationship and journey towards parenthood will all be covered in their new Hulu series, The Kardashians.
