House of Torture have a firm grasp on the NEVER Openweight division, holding both the singles and six man tag team championships. Tonight, Guerrillas Of Destiny & Hiroshi Tanahashi unite to take on EVIL, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi for the six man tag team championships. This is a prelude of Tama Tonga challenging EVIL for the NEVER Openweight Championship – meaning soon Tama could hold double gold in NJPW.
Hiroshi Tanahashi Trusts Guerillas Of Destiny
It’s still baffling to see Hiroshi Tanahashi fighting alongside Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa – but The Ace gladly accepted them into the NJPW main unit after they were kicked out of BULLET CLUB. House of Torture would strike first in this match, but Tanahashi & G.O.D would stand their ground in the ring.
SHO would be targeted by Tanahashi, who nailed a springboard crossbody out of the corner. Loa would tag in and hit a double back elbow alongside Tanahashi – before applying a hammerlock. Tama would get the tag as Loa extended the arm – and hit a double axe handle off the top rope.
SHO would have both arms attacked by Tanahashi & Tama, before a double splash for a two count. EVIL would lead in an attack on the outside – driving Tama into the timekeepers table, before slamming Tanahashi onto the floor. Back in the ring, Takahashi & SHO would take turns beating down Tanahashi and controlling the pace of the match in the process.
Tama tried to make the save, but was sent flying into a right hand from Dick Togo – who like always was lurking in the House of Torture corner. All three champions would stomp down Tanahashi in the middle of the ring – as the crowd rallied behind the Ace. Tanahashi hit EVIL with a big Dragon Screw – and made the tag to Tama Tonga.
House Of Torture Pull Out All Their Tricks
Tama would fire up, taking down Takahashi, SHO and taking aim at Dick Togo while EVIL was down. He’d look for a vertical suplex on EVIL, only for Takahashi to make the save. Loa saved his brother from a double suplex, before both EVIL & Takahashi were dropped.
Tama would look to apply the sharpshooter on EVIL – who tried to counter with the Scorpion Deathlock. EVIL would be the one ending up in the hold, with Tanahashi & Loa isolating the other two champions with a Cloverleaf and OJK respectively. The bottom rope saved EVIL, who would use the referee to hit the Magic Killer – only to get hit with the Headshrinker.
Loa hit the ring and nailed Takahashi with a running powerslam and 619 – before a diving lariat off the top rope. Reverse DDT from Takahashi would follow, before EVIL hit a Fisherman Buster. Takahashi got a near fall following a running dropkick, but EVIL distracted the referee as the Tokyo Pimp swung his cane.
He’d miss, EVIL was thrown into an exposed corner before SHO took Twist & Shout. Tanahashi hit the Slingblade, before Tama & Loa hit diving splashes for the near fall. The referee was crushed in the corner, but Jado would be quick to remove Togo.
EVIL however would hit a low blow on Loa, before SHO nailed him with a Wrench. Takahashi nailed Big Juice – and this one was over. Still NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Champions – House of Torture.
