Now that Adam Copeland is part of the All Elite Wrestling roster – the professional wrestling world is his to take over.
Having done everything possible with WWE, the former ‘Edge’ is now looking at the possibilities with a new roster – and is even looking beyond the world of AEW to New Japan Pro Wrestling and their ace, Kazuchika Okada.
Adam Copeland Has A List Of Dream Matches
While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Adam Copeland had the following to say when asked about his future plans.
“I’ve never wrestled at Wrestle Kingdom. I’ve never wrestled at Tokyo Dome. How about a match against Kazuchika Okada? That would be pretty cool. I’m pretty excited by that. How about Jon Moxley? Hell yeah. A singles match in AEW against Bryan Danielson? Miro? Claudio Castagnoli? Kenny Omega? Will Ospreay? Adam Page? Chris Jericho? Malakai Black? FTR in a tag? Teaming with Darby against the Young Bucks? Facing Darby? Facing Sting? A promo battle with Eddie Kingston? The possibilities, they’re keeping me awake at night. These new matchups are all super exciting. It all starts next week against Luchasaurus.”
NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 Plans Are Still Taking Shape
Right now, it’s unclear what is planned for Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 18. He’s not involved in the top title match of the show, which is set to see either SANADA or EVIL defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against G1 Climax winner Tetsuya Naito.
Okada is one third of the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Champions in NJPW alongside Tomohiro Ishii and Hiroshi Tanahashi – which could be linked to his Wrestle Kingdom plans.
A trios match of Adam Copeland, Darby Allin & Sting taking on Okada, Ishii & Tanahashi would put the belts under a massive spotlight in the Tokyo Dome.
Sting is a NJPW legend, appearing for the company in the 1990’s as part of the WCW roster. Because of this, he’d be welcomed with open arms – as would Copeland given his status in the industry. Copeland is intending to hit the ground running now that he’s outside of WWE – and anything is possible.
