WWE have given up their ways of hoarding talent, and mass releases are becoming increasingly more common. The first mass release of the year has now come, with it focused on the NXT brand. We have some common names from TV, and a lot from the WWE Performance Center who will now become free agents.
Full List Of Released Talents Include Heavy Hitters Like Dexter Lumis & Dakota Kai
The full list of released talent as of the time of writing is as follows.
Paige Prinzivalli
Sanjana George
Draco Anthony
Harland (aka Parker Bourdeaux)
Persia Pirotta
Raelyn Divine
Mila Malani
Dexter Lumis
Malcolm Bivens also exited the company today, choosing to not sign a new contract with WWE. The biggest three names in the released list are Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, and Harland. Kai has been one of the top females on the brand for years, and was scouted for a call up. Dexter Lumis recently entered a promising tag team with Duke Hudson. Harland was reported as being eyed as a potential successor to Brock Lesnar – but many felt was miscasted as the muscle of Joe Gacy.
This comes as little surprise however. During the switch to NXT 2.0, a new policy was set in place. People would be brought in on six month deals, and if you didn’t impress in that time – you would not be sticking around. They seem to be serious about this, even releasing people with loads of potential like Harland.
This will really put pressure on talent to impress. No longer can you just get signed to WWE, and stay in the PC for years on end – trying out different gimmicks like Aliyah or Angelo Dawkins did. If this will help or harm WWE in the long term is yet to be seen.
Tonights cuts might not yet be finished, but if there are more names released – updates will be posted below.
