‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close out the week with some spoilery goodies.
There are a couple of interesting storylines that should help deflect from a recurring one we’ve seen more times than we’re bothering to count.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 6: Celebration time
It doesn’t happen often, but Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) isn’t just going to get a win, but he’s going to really live it up with a celebration.
Sounds like it’s something big, right?

We think so. In fact, we suspect it’s going to involve his latest podcast getting huge numbers and replies, which will help push him closer to a possible official show on TV or the radio.
It’ll be interesting to see where the writers go with this as Billy’s quickly becoming the voice for the average person railing against the elites.
In other words, a typical media personality. Just wait until everyone learns he’s not so average.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 6: Adam want to cut ties
Like a broken record, the writers are once again diving into the psyche of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to have him contemplate severing his ties with the Newman family once more because he didn’t get his way.
He’s not wrong as he’s always his father’s second choice , but he should’ve severed ties long ago and moved on.
To be fair, ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers hope they don’t take the easy way out and have him revert back.
He’s grown a lot over the last few months and if they reverse it, then everything was all for nothing.
But if they do have him cut ties, it’d be nice if they’d actually follow through on it and become his own man for once.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 6: Family time
The Abbotts have lucked out in that their family meetings haven’t been disturbed as much as the Newmans’, but times are changing.
To shake things up, we think Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will walk into the mansion and send the meeting off the tracks and create all sorts of fun chaos.
It’ll be funny in a way because Diane will be the calm and collected one while the Abbotts will be barely controlled fury.
