Rumors say, and get louder with every hour that passes, that Conor McGregor will be given a shot for the lightweight title after the UFC 274.
Conor McGregor Sabotaged The Scales For Charles Oliveira – Belal Muhammad Sure That Conor Is The Next Lightweight Challenger
The one who cemented these rumors and planted the conspiracy seed is the welterweight contender Belal Muhammad. He says that this development of events, referring to Charles Oliviera’s missing weight, most certainly opens a great door for Conor McGregor to enter from.
“Conor probably sabotaged the scales he’s the only one that benefited from this. If Justin wins tomorrow I’m pretty sure he’ll be next” – Muhammad tweets one day before the UFC 274 event.
And this seems even more likely to happen if Justin Gaethje wins the main bout. Firstly, in the very near past, he is not afraid to express his interest in fighting Conor. Secondly, he has the potential skill-wise and popularity-wise to match. And finally, he will put 110% to win the fight, since his beef with Conor lasts for a long time now.
“At the end of the day, after I win this fight there are two people that are next in line. There’s Beneil Dariush and Islam Makhachev and they need to fight each other. However, if Conor McGregor’s there, then I think he’s just as rightfully available as those two because they need to fight. So I say either everybody deserves it, but nobody deserves it right now. Someone needs to stand out and yeah, whoever. Nevertheless, I want that opportunity to take him away from this sport forever.” – Gaethje finishes his statement with a threat to the Notorious.
And it is no secret that Conor is all in for a direct title shot. He speaks about it almost daily. He is very active on social media lately and he is not afraid to reveal that the title shot is his prime goal.
“I believe that’s the fight to make. I believe myself versus Usman for the 170-pound title for my comeback fight is the one I’m eyeballing at the minute. Now, I haven’t really said that to anyone, to be honest. I’ve only been thinking that for the last couple of days.” – The Notorious says and adds – “Also, Justin, there is no danger in a man that hugs legs, we all know. I can and I will destroy you. Try and dance around what the real threat is here all you want. I am going to fucking butcher you. Your teeth. I’m going to put them on a fucking necklace. Speak on my skills as a father? You are fucking dead.”
These two have had a beef since 2019 when Justin Gaethje tweeted that Conor is a ‘shit human, father, and husband’. This started the quarrels, and there is only one way to end them. If Gaethje wins the UFC 274 bout – Let these two fight. It will be a proper war.
