No one likes to see anyone get injured in professional wrestling, but everyone loves a big return to action. After months on the shelf, talent has a chance to ensure everyone remembers them in a huge way – and that will be coming for fans of Impact Wrestling soon. Former Impact Wrestling world champion Sami Callihan is back, and ready to once again prove why he’s one of the toughest men on the entire roster.
Sami Callihan Is Ready To Get Back Into The Ring
Sami Callihan has been out of action since fall of 2021, having suffered a broken ankle during TV tapings around September. He’s been out of the mix ever since, leaving Impact Wrestling without one of their key main event names. This allowed the likes of Matt Cardona & W. Morrissey to step up and prove themselves, and you can also consider Eddie Edwards & Matt Taven potential main event names due to their involvement in Honor No More.
Needless to say, having Callihan back will be great for the company. He’s one of their most dynamic performers, and despite being polarising in other promotions, has always felt right at home within the roster of Impact Wrestling.
Potentially Returning As Soon As Tonight At Impact Wrestling Under Siege
A perfect spot for Callihan to return could be tonight during their Under Siege event. Callihan is a main event player for Impact Wrestling, and could take aim at the winner of the main event over the Impact Wrestling Champion. Newly crowned champion Josh Alexander is set to face NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii – in what could be one of the hardest hitting matches of the year.
This comes at a perfect time, as Impact Wrestling just lost a few names on their roster – notably the likes of Jake Something, JONAH, and Willie Mack. What do you want to see Callihan do upon his return to Impact Wrestling? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
