Pete Davidson looks to have opened up a can of worms by referencing Kanye West in his latest stand up comedy material.

During the course of his performance for his show ‘Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends,’ the comedian decided to touch upon the dynamics between him, Kim Kardashian and the rapper, who was not happy about Pete hooking up with her.
And as a way to address that in a light-hearted way, Pete decided to draw comparisons between Kanye and the character of Mrs. Doubtfire.
The latter was played by the late Robin Williams, whose character ends up getting divorced from his wife. But in order to win her back, he decides to dress as an older woman and then convince his ex-wife to hire him as a nanny.
But when Mrs. Doubtfire begins to win over the children, his ex decides that it is a good idea for Mrs. Doubtfire to meet the father of the children. And by making such an analogy, it is clear that Pete is not entirely comfortable with the presence of the rapper in his and Kim’s life.
In his comments, Pete said: “Does anybody else secretly hope that Kanye pulls, like, a Mrs. Doubtfire? I come home one day and they’re like, ‘This is the new housekeeper.’ And he’s like, ‘What’s up fam!'”
The fans on social media had a lot to say. People felt that Pete was only asking for trouble when he decided to reference the rapper and make jokes about him.
One person wrote: “Kanye threatened him and he hired more security… Imagine what Ye gonna do now.” It is too early to say whether Kanye will respond.
But if Pete continues to mock the rapper, then based on his previous track record, Kanye will not stay silent. And in any event, perhaps it is time for Pete and Kanye to simply get on with their lives.
