The New Beginning series takes a look at both New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) New Beginning tours taking place in Japan and the United States.

On January 24, The New Beginning USA tour begins in Tampa, Florida at the St. Petersburg Coliseum underneath the New Japan of America (NJoA) brand.

NJPW Los Angeles Dojo students will take part in every card throughout the five-show tour. Clark Connors, Karl Fredericks, Ren Narita (on an excursion from the NJPW Tokyo Dojo), and Alex Coughlin are appearing on the American tour, while Gabriel Kidd is partaking in the Japan New Beginning tour.

While the United States is one of several secondary markets for NJPW, the company is the midst of a committed effort to build a foothold in the expansive and financial powerhouse that is the US.

Yuji Nagata and Satoshi Kojima renew their tag team in Tampa against two of the aforementioned Young Lions (Coughlin/Narita). Colt Cabana and Toru Yano reunite from their successful World Tag League run to face Karl Fredericks and TJP.

Yoshi-Hashi who rejuvenated himself during last years World Tag League steps up to former 2x GHC Tag Team Champion, 3x IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, 4x NWA World Tag Team Champion, and IWGP United States Heavyweight who is coming off a brutal Texas Death Match against Jon Moxley on night-one of Wrestle Kingdom 14.

Archer will look to put himself back in the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship picture with a win over Yoshi-Hashi who made the v2 challenge when Kenny Omega held the title on October 15, 2017.
