If Brock Lesnar Is Able To Win The Royal Rumble, He Will Have Surpassed His 2019 Ring Time In A Single Match

Brock Lesnar is gearing up to start the decade off hot. He is already the WWE Champion after unseating Kofi Kingston on the debut of WWE Smackdown on Fox. He since left to join Monday Night RAW, and has decided to assert his dominance by placing himself at the start of the 2020 Royal Rumble. Considering how fearsome Brock Lesnar is, you can rightfully assume that he would be able to last the entire match.

How Could He Wrestle Longer Than All Of His 2019 In One Match?

If he is able to outlast 29 other men, he will have probably wrestled for about an hour, as the average Royal Rumble match lasts about that time. With 90 second intervals between people entering the match, it can be 42 minutes at the absolute shortest, so even if Brock is able to throw out most people who enter instantly, it wouldn’t take much to match his time spent in ring from 2019.

In 2019, across 8 matches Brock Lesnar spent a total 53 minutes and 8 seconds. It’s a very good thing that Brock Lesnar doesn’t get paid by the hour. He likely spent more time rhythmically bouncing while Paul Heyman talked on his behalf, but it is harder to get an accurate time for that, whereas match times are very easy to find online.

Who Could Eliminate Brock Lesnar From The Royal Rumble?

Brock entering the match at the very start means he will have to be on the top of his game to avoid elimination, and there is plenty of people who could plausibly do this. First is Seth Rollins, who had two wins over Brock Lesnar in 2019. There is also Roman Reigns, who is well familiar with the Beast Incarnate after their numerous clashes. We also could see a situation like in 2002 when Maven created an upset when he eliminated Undertaker from the Royal Rumble, someone like Zack Ryder could pull that off and then get mauled like a fish caught by a hungry bear.

One scenario that has been whispered about is a return of John Cena, who could eliminate his old rival, and set his path to Wrestlemania as he would try to win the WWE Championship and become a 17 time world champion. Cena is purely part time at this point, due to Hollywood commitments, but they could handle a feud through mostly pre-taped segments and video packages. With Cena only needing to show up at the Royal Rumble, a handful of RAW’s and Wrestlemania, it would be possible.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
