It is no secret that Tony Ferguson is not a fan of both Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier. The UFC fighter with a losing streak of 4 takes on everybody who dares to say any comment on his performance. Attacking Daniel Cormier for scamming the scales back in 2017 at the UFC 210 event is not enough for El Cucuy, so now he takes on Joe Rogan and his podcast.
In an interview that he did with Submission Radio, the commentary team pops out as a topic and the four streak loser starts to blast the commentary team.
Tony Ferguson Critics Joe Rogan’s Commentary – Turned Down Offer To Feature In The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast
“I always give props to Jon Anik because he would always kind of speak up for me but Cormier and Rogan don’t mind bagging on me. I’m the only person that told Joe ‘no’ for his podcast. I have my reasons for it. But I have a lot of respect for Joe and what he did for the sport and for himself. But you know, I’m not best friends with him. I don’t have to be best friends with him. The same thing with Cormier.” – Ferguson says.
However, even though Ferguson has respect for Rogan, his objection to his commentary is there to stay.
“He made me look like an idiot” – El Cucuy says – “When Joe Rogan was talking, it looked like I didn’t know what the hell I was doing yet I was more active on the bottom than Dustin Poirier against Charles Oliveira and I didn’t hear one word talking about how bad his Jiu-Jitsu was. The commentators are talking like they don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about and they’re making guys like me look like I’m an idiot for one and two that I’m out there and I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing,” – he finishes.
The beef with Daniel Cormier is real and cannot be denied or neglected. However, Joe Rogan seems to still have a good opinion on the lightweight.
On a recent podcast episode Joe says that in his eyes, Tony is the best Lightweight there is. “Tony Ferguson is an animal. He’s the scariest guy in the 155 in my world. Because he doesn’t get tired.”
And he harshly judges the meme of Ferguson’s face that is being shared on the internet. He says that it is not something to be ashamed of, because it might happen to anybody.
In Ferguson’s defense, once he indeed was the best lightweight on the planet. He certainly is Oliveira’s toughest component. One of the few that made it to the end of all rounds.
The potential that Ferguson has is not questionable. However, his last fights do make him look like someone who is not as good as we believe. What will someone who just started following UFC recently think of him? Most certainly his favorite fighter will not be Tony Ferguson.
