Jihoon was not present when Deavan welcomed their son, Taeyang, and when he quit his job, Deavan was worried about how he would take care of their needs.

The duo eventually tied the knot, but Deavan found out that he lied about having a good job, and when she had a miscarriage, she returned to America with her daughter and her son. She later started accusing Jihoon abusing her daughter Drascilla. She quickly moved on with a new man, Topher Park.
The 90 Day Fiancé alum has taken to Instagram to share that she and the father of her son are officially divorced. She revealed that there was no romantic connection between them, to begin with and they never slept in the same bed after she moved to Korea. She said that Jihoon had “become abusive” so she made him stay with his parents. “We did everything for the show because he had debts and I had medical bills to pay,” she said.
She also shared that she had wanted to return to America in March, but her flight was canceled because of Covid-19. “We both had ended the relationship in November but decided to finish the season. We both knew we had to continue filming,” she shared. A fan asked her if her storyline with Jihoon was fake, and she told them that, “Some was fake. Some was real. Season 1… 96% was fake,” and continued, “season 2 I would say 50/50 drama was real.”

Deavan said that she was already married to Jihoon on paper before she visited Korea in Season 1. She said that they never wanted to get married, but his parents insisted. “I never moved to Korea in season 1,” Deavan confessed. She also shared that they planned a seven-day trip because the production team insisted she should film there since it was The Other Way.
After their “tea house” scene, the duo continued filming just to get paid, because they knew that if they didn’t finish the season, they won’t get paid. She also said that it was “pretty obvious” to fans that they didn’t like each other, and when she watched the show again herself, she started seeing signs that she wished she had known back when everything went wrong. Jihoon is presently in South Korea while Deavan is expecting a baby with he rnew man, Topher Park, who serves as a father figure to Drascilla and Taeyang.
