AEW’s Jeff Hardy’s THIRD Arrest in FIVE Years Resurfaces his Release From WWE

Jeff Hardy is making headlines once again, but they’re not the kind he’d prefer to make as he was arrested for in Volusia County jail (Florida) on his third DUI in 5 years and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

He’s being held on $3500 bail.

According to reports from TMZ, Jeff has a blood alcohol level three times greater than the legal .08.

He allegedly recorded a .294 and .291 on two separate readings.

Jeff was arrested for driving while impaired following an accident in 2018 an da DWI in 2019, and also public intoxication in 2019.

Jeff’s substance abuse problems have been well chronicled, especially after he was released by the WWE in December 2021 for refusing to go to rehab.

AEW star Jeff Hardy was arrested Monday in Florida on three charges, the most significant a DUI, his third offense in the last 10 years, per online court records. That is a third-degree felony. Hardy is currently in custody on $3,500 bond.

    False stance

After he walked out of a live event, Jeff was drug tested by the WWE per their wellness policy, but before the results came back they offered him the option to go to rehab.

Jeff said he knew he wasn’t on anything at the time and refused to go to rehab, and the WWE subsequently decided to release him.

That wasn’t the end as Jeff maintained his innocence, and when he finally got the test results from the WWE and they showed he wasn’t under the influence and he was vindicated.

Once his 90 day non-compete clause ran out, he joined his brother Matt by signing with AEW. This opened up some dream match opportunities for fans as the Hardy Boyz and Young Bucks were slated to feud once again.

But Jeff’s demons returned to haunt him once again and now he has a third arrest on his record.

    It’s a struggle

While it’s a daily battle for people dealing with substance abuse, one thing that’s unforgivable to many is knowingly getting behind the wheel while under the influence.

Granted, it’s easier said than done at times, but it’s a line many that had lost loved ones to drunk drivers have drawn and putting Jeff, or anyone in this situation, in prison until he gets clean is an option many of them would prefer.

While most, if not all, addicts fall off the wagon occasionally, it’s important they never give up and are given the support they need to get well.

This doesn’t excuse what Jeff or any other person does when under the influence, but it is a matter of how many times will someone be willing to step up to help?

While we have no doubt Tony Kahn and AEW will stand by him and help him get help, contacting Diamond Dallas Page could be another option for him.

Of course, no one gets better unless they truly want to, and we hope Jeff gets the help he needs to he can stay clean and sober.
