‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to keep things rolling with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
Genoa City’s been kinda lukewarm for a bit now, but things are going to liven up pretty quick with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) returning to set her latest anti Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) plan into motion.
There’s plenty of possibilities to come if the writers push the envelop and stop playing safe, and we hope they do.

“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: Kyle accepts a new role
Now that things are a go with Jabot buying Marchetti, it looks like Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will accept a new challenge and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier)’s urging and run Marchetti.
This will be a new arena for him as he won’t have anyone there to help save him with safety nets at the ready.
But more than this, he’s going to find himself caught in a war as he’ll most likely find himself caught between Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Phyllis, and Diane.
He wants everyone to give his moment a chance, but Diane burned her bridges and rebuilding them is going to take more time than most are giving her.
She’s undaunted, but we have a feeling Nikki and Phyllis won’t stop coming for her.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, June 21: Phyllis makes a move
It’s hard to remember a time when Phyllis wasn’t making a bold move or plotting to take someone down that was in her way or threatening her, so her current plan will be something we’re all familiar with.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think she’ll return to Genoa City without telling anyone, and then she’ll begin spying on Diane and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) as they’ll start getting a little closer.
Of course, Phyllis will don a hat and expect it to hide her from everyone, but it’s the level of spying we’ve grown accustomed to on the show so we’re just going to go with it.
While she’s doing her plotting, Summer will give Kyle a heads up that something’s coming and he’ll find himself having to walk a line between protecting his mom and treating Phyllis gently for Summer’s sake.
There’s so much potential for Phyllis to go to a dark place to get rid of Diane that it’ll feel like the show used to, but we may never know what she’s planning if everyone’s able to stop in to prevent her from acting out.
In an odd twist, it’s possible she and Nikki could become partners in this plot at some point. If that doesn’t make interesting bedfellows we don’t know what will.
