The Creed Brothers have been able to claim the NXT Tag Team Championships, but might have just ended up annyong the leader of Diamond Mine, Roderick Strong. After a loss in a trios match against Joe Gacy & The Dyad, Roderick Strong would be furious – and said tonight The Creeds learn a lesson.
With the championships on the line, Strong teams up with Damon Kemp in an attempt to toughen The Creed Brothers up. Strong is all about tough love in Diamond Mine – and tonight is the biggest example of that to date. Before this match, all four men would say that Diamond Mine is forever – but will their actions in the ring say the same?
Diamond Mine Bring Out The Best In Each Other
Brutus would kick things off with Kemp, before Strong asked to start instead. A tag was made, and he’d get to grappling with Brutus. He’d target the wrist, before getting taken into the corner. Strong would be able to fight free, but a leaping knee would see him shot out of the sky.
Kemp & Julius would showcase some speed, before Julius would block a double leg into a suplex. He’d mouth off to Strong – and Kemp hit a German Suplex in response. Kemp would drive Julius into the corner, and Strong would get a tag and some heavy yet fast strikes. Kemp would get back into the ring for some shoulder thrusts and a sleeper hold.
Julius would carry Kemp to his corner, and Brutus would be able to help him free. The Creed Brothers would throw Kemp into some fireman’s carries, before he’d be sent to the floor – and crushed with the Brutus Ball from the top rope.
The Creed Brothers Remain Champions
Back into the ring, Kemp & Strong would regain control in their corner, with Strong throwing some violent strikes towards Julius and grabbing a front headlock. Kemp would continue where Strong left off with a headlock in the ring, before being tossed with a gutwrench suplex.
Brutus would get the tag, nailed the double leg takedown and some double arm clubbing blows. He’d do a backflip just because he can – before corning Strong in the Creed Brothers corner. Strong punched Julius in the face to provoke him, before nailing two knee strikes to Brutus.
Kemp would follow up with a slingshot spear, getting a two count. Julius would get the tag and tossed Strong with a German Suplex, before a spinning Belly to Belly Suplex. Some punches and a spinebuster would follow, but Strong tagged out. Kemp took the spinebuster and sliding lariat – and The Creed Brothers remain champions!
