Last week at The Great American Bash, Cameron Grimes was unable to defeat Bron Breakker and claim the NXT Championship. He put all his chips on the table, and came up short. Where does this leave Grimes in NXT? He will tell us tonight.

Cameron Grimes Has Some Choice Words For JD McDonagh

Grimes hit the ring with a sour look on his face, and would grab the microphone. He wishes he had an excuse for why he didn’t leave with the belt. Grimes had a plan, he hit his finisher – but the three count didn’t follow. Breakker is at home in a sling, but still has the gold. Grimes learned that you can do everything right – and things will still go wrong.

That’s just life. Last month, Grimes lost the NXT North American Championship as well. However, before Grimes could continue – the former Jordan Devlin hit the ramp to kick a man while he’s down. JD McDonagh said this pity party should go to the back, because Grimes became old news when The Irish Ace walked through the door.

He fooled everyone by saying he would debut this week, including Breakker. Grimes would call JD McDonagh the Irish Asshole, before taking a headbutt and bounced back for the Cave-In. McDonagh fled the ring, and Grimes would call him out – saying if he wants to be someone in NXT, he needs to go through Grimes first.

    Kayden Carter Gets Caught

Kayden Carter & Katana Chance are back to the drawing board as far as claiming the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships goes. Tonight, Carter is in singles action however – as she takes on the rising star of Tatum Paxley. They would have an exchange of words last week, with Ivy Nile stepping in to be the voice of reason.

Before this match, we’d hear from Grayson Waller – who was irate after losing the match for the NXT North American Championship. However, he’s more mad at Wes Lee than Hayes – and says that next time he sees Lee, he will destroy him.

Carter would take Paxley down to start this match, before being kicked off. Paxley would look for an armbar, but Carter fought free. She’d stop down on Paxley before a running dropkick, before a second sent Paxley to the floor. Ivy Nile came to ringside to cheer Paxley on, who would hit the ring for a corkscrew moonsault.

Carter would grab a leg lock, and Paxley would try to fight to the ropes. A roll up from Paxley would get the three count, and Carter was upset by this revelation! Will Nile & Paxley face Chance & Carter soon? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
