While Ukrainian woman Yara and her husband Jovi will be featuring on Happily Ever After? season 7, Russian dancer Julia Trubkina and her husband, Brandon Gibbs will not appear. Julia recently told fan that she wasn’t cast on the show because she is Russian. A Reddit user, u/Few-Replacement4373 shared an image from Yara’s recent Instagram story, where she posted a heavily-filtered image of herself making an exasperated face with the caption, “my reaction when Russian people complain that the world discriminates against them.”

The poster asked her fans if they thought she was throwing a shade at Julia, and fans said that they thought so. “It without a doubt is shade lol. I’m 100% here for it too,” u/ZombieePanda wrote. A lot of them said that they supported Yara calling out Julia, who they think is trying to victimize herself. “I’m living for it. I hate how Julia tried to make herself seem like a victim,” the original poster wrote back.
Fans had felt pity for Julia when she gave them the impression that her in-laws forced her to work on their fan. However, they turned on her when it was revealed that she was actually willing to the chores and then made herself look like a victim. So a lot of fans don’t have sympathy for her at the moment.
Many fans believe that Julia and Brandon ere ignored by TLC because their storyline on their first season of Happily Ever After? was not interesting. “Julia is delusional to think the reason she’s not on HEA is because she’s Russian,” u/thatevianthattedtalk wrote. Many fans supported Yara for calling Julia out because the latter does not want to agree that her story with Brandon is boring. Yara and Julia started out as friendly, but their friendship went sour during 90 Day Fiancé season 8 Tell-All, when Julia said plastic surgery was “lazy.”
The mother of one, who had a rhinoplasty, clapped back at her fellow cast member and defended people’s right to alter their looks if they want. Julia now seems to be dissing Yara online once again for her plastic surgery and photo editing, and fans her waiting for the latter’s clap back.
