Triple H Named Head of WWE Creative

For many fans that miss the old NXT as well as WWE during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras, it looks like we’re in for a breath of fresh air and entertainment that will make sense storyline wise.

In a press release announced Stephanie McMahon and Nick Kahn as Co-CEOs, it was also announced that Triple H will be taking over as Head of WWE Creative.

Triple H Named Head of WWE Creative

This has put the future of Bruce Prichard in question, but it’s been reported that he’s going to remain in the creative team with Triple H being the Finisher, meaning Hunter has the final say.

It’s been reported that Triple H taking over as head of creative was met with general excitement, including with the USA network.

    What’s going to change?

We don’t expect to see a lot of changes early on, but the feel of the show will be different, similar to when Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff were named producers of Raw and Smackdown, respectively, a couple of years back.

After the first episode, things went back to normal but there was a energy and feel about the shows for that one week they didn’t have before.

For us, we expect that feel as the talent will have more energy and things will be crisper for WWE Monday Night Raw on July 25.

Adding to that is the energy that’s already brewing with it being Rey Mysterio’s 20th anniversary and it’s in Madison Square Garden.

Besides the energy, we expect a slight change to the matches. We doubt we’ll have the same level of interference as we’ve grown accustomed to, and that’ll lead to less predictability overall.

It’ll be small steps, but we’re looking forward to the shift as WWE begins a new journey and we’re all going along for the ride.

    Change is good

Similar to when Vince took over the WWE in the early 80s, the future is uncertain. Vince’s contributions can’t be ignored as he took the sport to new heights, but even Tom Landry’s time came to an end.

With the WWE stuck in a highly predictable rut the last few years as they relied on selling their brand instead of superstars, there’s a chance we’ll see it go back to focusing on the talent and letting them shine.

Some will get a second chance, while others may get a first chance to be themselves and the shows may not be as micromanaged as they previously were.

It’s exciting to see where Stephanie and Triple H take the WWE in the months to come. We’ve expected them to assume control at some point for years, and now it’s their chance to shine.

What kind of changes do you think we’ll see? Let us know in the comments below.
